Most conversations about AI at work focus on tools. This one focuses on people and on building workplaces where humans and AI bring out the best in each other.
For leaders, managers, HR, IT, and design professionals who are embracing AI implementation, the hardest questions are rarely about technology. They are about people: what happens to roles, to collaboration, to organizational culture once AI is there?
This workshop discusses exactly those questions. Drawing on the latest scientific research and grounded in practical exercises, it reveals how AI is changing the workplace at three levels: how individuals work, how teams collaborate, and how organizations function. You will leave with concrete frameworks and tools you can apply immediately in your own context.
Organizations that get this right do not just become more efficient, they become more resilient. They retain knowledge, develop people, and build the kind of culture where humans and AI genuinely strengthen each other. Those that don't, often find out too late that what they automated away was not just a task, but a capability they can no longer rebuild.
You will leave with four tools you can use immediately in your organization:
Leaders, managers, HR, IT, and design professionals who are past the "should we use AI?" question and working on the "how do we do it well?" one. No technical background required.
Block 1: Where AI actually helps, and where it doesn't
Participants learn to distinguish where AI demonstrably improves performance, where it actively degrades judgment, and why that boundary is the most important thing to understand. The block introduces the EPOCH model of the distinctly human capabilities AI cannot replicate and shows how to develop them deliberately alongside AI adoption. Output: Human-AI Capability Matrix
Block 2: What AI does to collaboration and teams
Group work on a realistic process before and after AI is introduced: where new handoffs appear, what happens to accountability, which knowledge stops circulating, and where junior learning pathways disappear. Output: Before and After AI Process Map
Block 3: What AI does to organizational networks and culture
A physical activity with an organizational network model: what happens when AI replaces a human node, which connections survive, and how organizational values get encoded in AI systems, often without anyone making a deliberate decision. Output: Organizational Network Scan
Block 4: A framework for deliberate AI decisions
Synthesis of the three levels into a single decision tool. Each participant formulates three concrete priorities: one capability to unlock with AI, one insight to bring back to their team, one change to advocate for in their organization. Output: AI at Work Diagnostic Survey + personal priorities
