Collaborating with Startups to Accelerate Corporate Innovation
Innovation is essential for a firm’s success in today’s competitive landscape. Because of exponential growth of new technologies, the decentralized nature of knowledge, and increasingly complex value networks, firms can no longer rely solely on in-house innovation. Consequently, a crucial paradigm shift from closed to open innovation has occurred in the last two decades. The open innovation (OI) concept has emerged as a very effective strategy to transform firms radically and turn them into innovation machines. The main idea behind the concept is that innovation can be and should be generated with external partners.
This executive course is designed to enhance the open innovation capabilities of firms of all sizes. We will explore various OI processes-including inside-out, outside-in, and coupled models-and discuss how to design and implement them effectively. Additionally, we will examine strategies for building and scaling innovation ecosystems, a crucial capability for firms navigating today’s rapidly evolving business environment.
