Assistant Professor - Department of Entrepreneurship
Dr. Ferhat Demir earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University in the United States and his Ph.D. in Management and Managerial Economics from the Prague University of Economics and Business where he now works as a full-time faculty member at the Department of Entrepreneurship. He conducts research in innovation management, open innovation, corporate-startup collaboration, strategic management, and corporate entrepreneurship that has been published in leading journals such as R&D Management and Review of Managerial Science.
Before joining the academy, he worked in various industries, including finance, technology, manufacturing and government. With over 20 years of experience in the corporate world as both a manager and management consultant, he brings a strong background in industrial engineering complemented by expertise in management. This interdisciplinary foundation enables him to explore the intersections of technology and management, as well as complex, multifaceted phenomena such as Open Innovation. His book, entitled Codes of Innovation, is now in its second edition.
