Assistant Professor at the Prague University of Economics and Business
Dr. Efthymia Kottika (PhD, Athens University of Economics and Business) is an Assistant Professor at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE), Czech Republic. Previously she held academic posts in England (University of Greenwich), as well as in Greece (IST Business College/University of Hertfordshire).
Her research interests encompass topics such as the application of strategic orientations as well as business strategic communication responses within crisis conditions (i.e., social media storms). Her work has been published in scientific outlets such as the Industrial Marketing Management, the Journal of Business Research, and the International Journal of Tourism Research; as well as in various research proceedings of renowned academic bodies (e.g., American Marketing Association, European Marketing Academy, and European Academy of Management among others). Finally, Dr. Kottika is currently involved in actual market projects mostly within the automotive industry while along with her research colleagues she is about to publish her first academic book focused on the phenomenon of social media storms.
